Alleged DUI Driver Crashes into House

images (60)The driver of an SUV was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle into a house.

According to Sgt. Ralph Gama of the Norwalk Sheriff’s station, deputies received a call at approximately 5:15 a.m. in the 13700 block of Elmcroft Avenue, deputies found the driver of the vehicle lying next to his SUV after he had struck the home with the SUV halfway into the house.

The resident of the house, who was home at the time of the incident, said that neither he nor his dogs were injured in the crash.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Authorities have not released his name, age and city of residence prior to his being booked into jail.

Authorities took the man to a hospital to be checked.
