Fiery Crash in Pasedena

download (82)A fiery crash has left five people injured in Pasadena. According to police investigators, officers received a call at approximately 1:55 a.m. to the area of Fair Oaks Avenue, near Huntington Drive to a traffic accident with injuries involving an overturned vehicle that had caught fire. Investigators say that the driver of the vehicle failed to make a left turn on to Huntington Drive, striking a median then hitting a mailbox and fire hydrant.  The vehicle then collided into a sign and a wall, flipping onto its roof.

The occupants of the car, which included four females, including the driver, were able to escape from the overturned vehicle after one of the occupants managed to kick out a window in the rear of the vehicle. The remaining occupant, a male, was freed from the burning vehicle when police officers used a baton to break the front passenger window. The male victim was unconscious. All of the accident victims were transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police indicate that the accident is under investigation and that the driver may be charged for felony DUI and causing injuries to the passengers in her vehicle.

At present, no charges have been filed or arrests made in the incident.
