Rap Mogul Accused of Running Over Two Men

download (57)Rap mogul, Marion “Suge” Knight is in court after being accused of running over two men, seriously injuring one of them, in a parking lot in Compton. According to court documents, the incident happened during a fight on January 29th at approximately 2:55 p.m.in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers in the 1200 block of West Rosecrans Avenue near Central Avenue.

One of the men who had been called to testify was Cle “Bone” Sloan.  Bone said that he remembered little of the night of the incident and said he refused to be a “snitch”  that would send Knight to prison on two counts of attempted murder.

Knight, a former football player and native of Compton, co-founded Death Row Records, which in its heyday in the early 1990s generated revenues of up to $100 million per year. Knight is responsible for having launched the careers of stars such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur.

Knight, who had been previously facing charges of robbery,  was free on bail until he was charged with murder.  Knight is now currently being held on $25 million bail.
