Alleged Stolen Car Police Chase Leads to Crash

download (1)The driver of an allegedly stolen car has been arrested after having led law enforcement officers on a pursuit that ended in a crash in Garden Grove early Monday morning.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the chase began at approximately 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana when an officer spotted a stolen green Honda Accord. Orange County Sheriff’s deputies were also involved in the pursuit.

Police reports indicate that the car was also allegedly involved in an earlier assault with a deadly weapon.

The driver, whose name has not yet been released by authorities, led police through Santa Ana and Fountain Valley before crashing at the intersection of Trask Avenue and Euclid Street in Garden Grove.

The driver was arrested at the scene and was being treated for minor injuries.
